Be Our Guest Camp Day 3

Day three was a little tricky to decorate so I just went with yellow streamers.  I also had to throw in a bell jar drawing too.

This day was hosted by Princess Beauty of course.

We played a hilarious game of "The Princess and The Pea".  I lined up three very fluffy down pillows and the girls took turns hiding a large bouncy ball under one pillow.  The little girl who was "it" hid around the corner with Princess Beauty and when we called for her she came in and gingerly sat on each pillow until she found the pea.  To show that she had become a real princess, she got a necklace.

We had beast paw print sandwiches for snack time.  We cut flat bread into paw shapes with a cookie cutter and then coated the top in Nutella.  Then we added a banana center and almond claws.  The craft project that we made was a tiny magic mirror!

A Pixie Adventure Camp Day 2

Day two of Enchanted Princess Camp was a Pixie Adventure hosted by non other than Tinker Bell herself.  We had to use a lot of pixie dust to get her big enough.  Maybe we used too much pixie dust.

To set the stage I hang a few paper lanterns and large butterflies from the ceiling.  We also turned the seaweed in the window into flowers.

Before we started we made sure each little princess had some pixie dust.

The game for today was "who stole the magic ring".  We made two kinds of paper flowers.  We dip dyed the ends of coffee filters to make lovely poppy flowers and tissue paper to make puff flowers.

Tink made hotdogs for snack time but she should have waited until she was big.  She made the hotdogs way to small.

Let's Make a Splash Camp Day 1

Our camp was a week ago and I'm taking some time to reflect the experience.  I realized that I put so much research and work into it so I should share what I found!  We hosted our Enchanted Princess Camp in the Kidz Cook with Joy Studio inside the Granary building in Ralston.

Kidz Cook with Joy Studio is a cute little shop stall inside a large industrial building that is currently being overhauled. I didn't have to do much to decorate but, because each day had a different theme, I wanted to set the stage.

The first day of camp was "Let's Make a Splash" and it was hosted by the Little Mermaid.

Green streamer twisted up looks like seaweed.  White puff balls looks like bubbles.  A wall to wall chalk board gets an ocean themed mural and a creepy mermaid.  Why do chalk board people always look creepy?

The two hour party was divided into crafts and activities.  We also had a snack time in the middle.  We made seashell jewelry.  We made a pet jellyfish in a jar.  You can find out how to make a jellyfish in a jar from this youtube video.

Then we played the mermaid game.  The kids wrapped each other's legs in green streamer.  When it was time to change back into humans we tore the streamer off and it got a little wild!

For snack time we made these cute clam cookies.  We used Pepperidge Farm lemon shell cookies, pink frosting, and a large white sixlet candy you can find in the cake decorating section.  I got the idea from this blog but their version is a little healthier.
