Halloween Birthday Party Ideas

Some of us have birthday dates that are a bit too close to big holidays, and we are stuck sharing our thunder every year with a big bunny or cut up paper hearts.  There are a few lucky ones who happen to have a birthday close to their very favorite holiday which becomes almost a part of their identity.  I know there are a few little tots out there who not only live for Halloween, but were fortunate enough to be born in this absolutely beautiful month of October.  We salute these bewitched babies!

Does your little darling need to summon her inner Evil Fairy Queen?  We have a new party package for that, starring these two!

The Evil Fairy and Sleeping Princess will spook and charm your guests!  We will set aside time for photos to capture the magic moment and we will have a spooky charm for the birthday child!  We will bring supplies for a magic potion spell bottle.  Next, we fill the bottle with bobbles, sparkles, and water.  When the bottle is shaken the sparkles will swirl around.  As the dust in the bottle settles to the bottom it will have a calming effect on even the most vexed fairy.  Some call these magic spells, "time out bottles".  While we are waiting for the cap glue to dry, the characters will tell the children an interactive story.  Abra Kadabra, you've hosted a fun and memorable party for your little spooky fairy without even lifting your wand.
Find more information about our fall Villain and Princess Party Package at:  ww.RealPrincessesOmaha.com

Looking for a bubbly character?  We have a Vampire Fashion Doll in the castle this time of year as well.  She's more into fashion than hexes and wouldn't go near an ounce of blood.  She's a vegetarian so the only thing she will be draining is a glass of tomato juice.  This character can be invited to any of our party packages!  You can also add neon colored hair extensions to any package.

Not having a birthday party in October??  We offer rates for neighborhood "trunk or treat" events as well as small business promotions around town.  For contact information visit our website!

Singing Elves to Visit Omaha! Dec. 2015

Schedule a visit from Pepper Mint and Ginger Snap

Two of Santa's top elves have a very important job to do.  Ms. Mint and Ms. Snap have been charged with distributing magic reindeer food and will be making stops around the greater Omaha Metro area.  Sprinkling the reindeer food in your yard is a big responsibility for children and they will be helping Santa complete his route!  During a visit the elves will accept a letter on behalf of Santa, assign the children their reindeer food, sing a couple of festive songs, and will pose for pictures.  When registering, you will select a date and timeframe and which songs you would like performed.

Our elves are trained vocalists and are experienced children's entertainers.  This is a wonderful way to keep the magic alive for you children.  Create treasured memories while they still believe.  You can also use this visit as an opportunity to sneak a few chores into your child's to-do list.  Upon request the elves can even remind your kids that Santa was hoping they would finish their homework and keep their room tidy so they can stay on his "nice" list.  :)

Princess Treasure Hunt and Tea Party

Are you excited to attend the Treasure Hunt and Tea Party this Thursday May 28th in Elmwood park?  We are!  The forecast calls for scattered storms but we will continue with the event regardless.  Park in the lot just south east of the pavilion.  We will be ending our adventure at the pavilion.  Unless the weather is too soggy.  Then we will start in the pavilion.  If weather permits, the start of our story will be in front of the walking trail bridge.  The bridge is located at the south east corner of the parking area.

You will meet the Amethyst Princess on the bridge.  We will follow a wooded path to a stair where Cinderella will be waiting with the next clue.  Continuing down the path we will enter the grotto where the Lilly Pad princess will be waiting with another clue.  After recovering the treasure in the grotto, the princesses will lead us to the pavilion where Ariel will be waiting with a tea party, cupcakes, and a sing along to celebrate our success!

It is a little tricky for GPS because Elmwood Park doesn't have a street address as some parks do.  If you are coming from the west then you may want to take Dodge street and you will take the first turn south (right) after UNO campus onto University of Nebraska at Omaha Rd E.  Take that south.  Turn east (left) onto University Drive Rd. S. and follow that.  You will see a swimming pool on your left and the Pavilion on your right.  Park in the lot just south east of the Elmwood park Pavilion.

If you are coming from the East you will not be able to turn left on Dodge St so you will need to take Pacific.  (you can take Pacific either way if you like, I just like to use UNO as a landmark).  Turn north (right) onto Elmwood Park Rd.  It's about three blocks East of 72nd Street.  then follow that winding road through the park until you get to University Drive Rd. S and take a right turn to go East.  Look for the pool and across the street will be the Pavilion and parking lot.  At the South East corner of the parking lot will be our start point for the event.

The Royal Ball is less than a month away now!  Rapunzel and the Nordic Princess are hosting a ball for Cinderella's birthday and they have invited all of their friends.  All 12 princesses will be attending!  That means there will be a princess for every 5 children so we can guarantee plenty of one on one time with each guest.  This event is by reservation only an all tickets have been spoken for.  This event is sold out and no tickets will be available at the door.  Children under 3 years will not be admitted.

The ball will be hosted at the:

FAQ

What is the dress code for the Royal Ball?

We ask adult guests to dress anywhere between dressy-causal and formal.  If you want to break out that gown, do it!  Children can wear princess dress up costumes, dresses, ball gowns, or even that flower girl dress.  We just ask that they leave the tippy toe dress up shoes at home.

Where is the D.C. Center

The D.C. Center Banquet Hall is just south of Mulhall's Garden Center around West Maple Road and 120th Street in Omaha.

What if we can no longer attend the ball and we would like to sell our tickets or give them to someone else?

Seating for the ball is assigned so we ask that you let us know so we can change the name in the seating arrangement.

A Princess Ball at the Castle

October 5th is right around the corner!

The ball is almost here and we are so excited!!  The ball will begin with photo opportunities with our host princesses Cinderella and Beauty.  If the weather cooperates this will take place outside in the beautiful front lawn of the mansion while we wait for the doors to officially open at 3:00.

At 2:50 the princesses will retreat back into the mansion to make the final preparations and the attendants will open the doors promptly at 3:00.

We will gather in the front entryway/living room foyer area of the mansion for the introduction of each princesses.  Princesses attending will be Cinderella and Beauty as our hosts, Snow White, Ariel, Snow Princess, Nordic Princess, Tinker Bell, and the Celtic Princess as the guest of honor but will arrive a bit later.  Following the presentation will be a vocal performance from the Snow Sisters.  After the introductions are made the Queen will fetch the Celtic Princess so we can surprise her!

After this little bit of fun everyone will find their tables and we will sit down for tea sandwiches followed by sweet treats and birthday cake.  While everyone is enjoying their sandwiches all of the princesses will be mingling from room to room so they may greet all of our guests personally.  At this time princesses will be available for more photos and some spontaneous songs.

We will conclude with the princesses leading all the children in dancing.  The party will conclude at 5:00.

This event is by reservation only and is sold out.  All attendees must have a reservation and attendees must be 3 years or older.  Children under 3 years will not be admitted.

It's time for a little FAQ to make sure we are ready!

Why a birthday party invitation and no tickets?

The ball is a surprise birthday party for our Celtic Princess.  The theme will be nature inspired because our Celtic Princess loves to be outdoors.  Cinderella and Beauty will be our hosts for this event and they have invited their friends Snow White, Ariel, Snow Princess, Nordic Princess, and Tinker Bell.

The ball will be reserved seating and seats will be clearly labeled so we felt that tickets were not necessary.  We didn't want families worrying about trying to keep track of tickets.  For larger events in the future we may use tickets but we decided to forgo them for this event.

Why does the invitation say presents??

You may have notice a type-o on our invitations this year.  it reads "Humbly request the presents of"rather than "Humbly request the presence of" and I couldn't be more embarrassed!  Yes it will be staged as a birthday party but no need to bring a gift aka "presents".  Please forgive my very silly mistake.

Will parking be a problem?

The Renaissance Mansion is in a historic neighborhood so parking is nearly impossible.  Lucky for us, the venue has a standing agreement with the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center next door and they have a very large parking lot that will be open for us to use.

Please comment with any other questions you might have!

Be Our Guest Camp Day 3

Day three was a little tricky to decorate so I just went with yellow streamers.  I also had to throw in a bell jar drawing too.

This day was hosted by Princess Beauty of course.

We played a hilarious game of "The Princess and The Pea".  I lined up three very fluffy down pillows and the girls took turns hiding a large bouncy ball under one pillow.  The little girl who was "it" hid around the corner with Princess Beauty and when we called for her she came in and gingerly sat on each pillow until she found the pea.  To show that she had become a real princess, she got a necklace.

We had beast paw print sandwiches for snack time.  We cut flat bread into paw shapes with a cookie cutter and then coated the top in Nutella.  Then we added a banana center and almond claws.  The craft project that we made was a tiny magic mirror!

A Pixie Adventure Camp Day 2

Day two of Enchanted Princess Camp was a Pixie Adventure hosted by non other than Tinker Bell herself.  We had to use a lot of pixie dust to get her big enough.  Maybe we used too much pixie dust.

To set the stage I hang a few paper lanterns and large butterflies from the ceiling.  We also turned the seaweed in the window into flowers.

Before we started we made sure each little princess had some pixie dust.

The game for today was "who stole the magic ring".  We made two kinds of paper flowers.  We dip dyed the ends of coffee filters to make lovely poppy flowers and tissue paper to make puff flowers.

Tink made hotdogs for snack time but she should have waited until she was big.  She made the hotdogs way to small.
